Women Cell

For the promotion of women’s rights, a women’s cell is working actively in the college. Orators, scholars and social activists are invited by the college to deliver talks on women empowerment. It is in the same vein that the Grand finale of state level dance programme was organized in the college on 08 May 2016. DID superstar dancers Sanam Johar and Manan Sachdeva were the chief guests and it was inaugurated by Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar Transport Minister Haryana. Ramesh Koushik MP Sonipat, Ms. Rohita Rewari MLA (City) Panipat, Mahipal Dhanda MLA (Rural) Panipat were also present.

Seminar on ‘Women Empowerment’ was organized on 07 April 2016. Ms. Anuradha Beniwal, daughter of Haryana and National Chess champion graced the occasion and unveiled her book ‘Aazadi Mera Brand’. Seminar on “Constitutional Rights of Women” was held on 13 February 2016.

‘Taruni Sammelan’ with huge presence of 2000 girls was held on 06 February 2016. Mrs. Kiran Chopra writer and social activist and Ms. Renuka President ‘Save Cow Samiti’ joined the programme and honoured the women engaged in exemplary works for society.

The ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ march consisting of 125 girls reached the college on 13 January 2016. Mrs. Kiran Chopra and Sh. Pramod Vij District President joined the programme and welcomed the participants in the college. Workshop on ‘Women Self Defence’ backed by District Police Panipat held on 04 November 2015. Ms. Vidyavati, DSP PS (Women) Panipat conducted the training and gave tips on self defence.

Programme on ‘Rishton Ki Nai Soch’ sponsored by Dainik Bhaskar and Star Plus was held on 03 November 2015. Ms. Parminder Kaur, CJM Panipat inaugurated the event.
