The College started the National Service Scheme in 19 . the aim of the scheme is to develop an all-round personality of the students who this wing voluntarily so that they can be transformed into responsible and patriotic citizens. It also develops in them the sense of dignity of labour and self – help. The college NSS wings (one each for boys and girls)organize two different kinds of programmes-regular activities and camping programmes. A large number of volunteers(both boys and girls) take active part in these activities and the college has bagged many top positions in the Universities for its Holisitic Activities in NSS. Blood Donation Camps,Community Development & Programmes, literacy and Adult Education programmes,health & Hygiene Awareness Camps are organized by the college NSS units regularly every year. Since the issue of saving our environment has become a critical issue now a days, the NSS volunteers also aware the public on issues related to environment through activities like Debate,Quiz,Slogan-writing,Chart-making extension lectures and rallies.
The NSS units in the college are a perennial source of channelizing the energies and capabilities of the students towards community service, upliftment of society and nation building . Every new entrant to the college is eligible to apply for the college NSS unit voluntarily and has to devote some time in societal and constructive activities like teaching the poor children who can not go to schools, cleaning their surrounding, plantation of trees, carrying raliies for mass awareness etc. the volunteers of the collge NSS units also take initiatives with the help of their concerned to collect usaable Books, statioanery,toys,clothes and other useful items which are then distributed to the poor and needy children.
